Kaštel Gomilica

This medieval fortress was one of the filming locations for the fourth season of Game of Thrones. The massive stones and seaside setting exude a unique, cinematic atmosphere. It’s an exciting experience for both fans and history enthusiasts to explore the well-known scenes.

Kaštel Vitturi

Built at the end of the 15th century by the Vitturi family, this Renaissance castle now houses a museum. The surrounding park, spanning over 9 hectares, is recognized as Croatia’s first protected garden. The castle is also associated with the famous Croatian love story of Miljenko and Dobrila.

The 1,500 Year Old Olive Tree

Mastrinka, the over 1,500-year-old olive tree, is one of the oldest living plants in the region and symbolizes Kaštela’s long-standing tradition of olive cultivation. Its gnarled trunk and new shoots offer an impressive sight. Olive oil from this tree is sold in small bottles at the local museum as a souvenir for visitors.
